Superstar Failed Miserably
Clearly the director failed to remind the cast that this was a most deep and intense emotional experience for the story being told. The sets were lame and I think it may have helped to watch the original movie a few times to gather some inspiration. In fairness, Mary Magdalene had a beautiful voice, but the costume seemed a bit much, and the San Hedron cast was good. But Jesus needed a few Ted Neeley lessons, and that would have helped...a lot! Judas was the most consistent to how the role should be performed, and as an actor, had some intense moments, but for me, wearing eyeglasses distracted me from the era they lived in, kind of bummed me out. I think the Director dropped the ball on this one, won't be going for a second round....
